Norman Rosenbaum is Of Counsel in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group of Morrison & Foerster LLP in its New York office. Mr. Rosenbaum has extensive experience representing creditors as well as public and private debtors in transactional, litigation, and advisory work relating to Chapter 11 cases, and non-bankruptcy workouts. Mr. Rosenbaum’s experience includes the following representative matters:
Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., in its capacity as secured lender, in the Key3 Media Group Chapter 11 Bankruptcy;
The co-agent and lender in connection with DIP and exit credit facilities extended to the Tokheim Corporation and its affiliates;
The minority bondholders in the Chapter 11 case of Borden Chemicals;
A major landlord in the Chapter 11 case of Pergament Home Centers in opposing the sale of a leasehold interest under Sections 363 and 365 of the Bankruptcy Code;
The purchaser of the assets of Temporary Time Capital Corporation, a regional provider of temporary health care and office personnel, in a transaction under 363 of the Bankruptcy Code; and
Several public corporations, including Eagle Picher Industries, The Leslie Fay Companies, and Sanyo Automotive Parts, as well as several large privately-held entities in a broad array of industries as chapter 11 debtors-in-possession.
Mr. Rosenbaum also regularly advises financial institutions, including banks, asset-based lenders, investment banks and hedge funds in connection with the structuring and implementation of complex financing transactions.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Rosenbaum was an associate with the law firms of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Sanford P. Rosen & Associates, P.C., and Siller Wilk LLP, where he practiced in the fields of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and asset based lending.
Mr. Rosenbaum received his J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1989. He received his B.A. degree in History and Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1984.
Mr. Rosenbaum is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
