Scott F. Llewellyn's practice involves complex litigation before state and federal courts throughout the country, with an emphasis on patent disputes. Mr. Llewellyn has tried commercial arbitration and agency matters; briefed and argued consumer class action appeals in federal appellate court; worked on a variety of securities class actions and investigations; and been a member of various patent trial teams in federal district court. Mr. Llewellyn has also tried more than fifteen cases for the Denver City Attorney's office, including eight jury trials.
Mr. Llewellyn obtained a B.A. from Yale University, cum laude, in 1990, and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, in May 1997, where he served as Executive Articles Editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. After law school, Mr. Llewellyn clerked for the Honorable Clarence A. Brimmer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, and for the Honorable Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster LLP in February 2003, Mr. Llewellyn practiced in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, and was an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Llewellyn is a member of the Colorado State Bar, the California State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and various federal district and appellate courts.
