Cathleen Stadecker is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office. A member of the firm’s litigation department, her current practice includes antitrust matters and a wide variety of intellectual property matters including trademark infringement, domain name disputes, and false advertising. She also counsels clients in connection with trademark prosecution and enforcement.

Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Stadecker served as law clerk to Judge Richard Owen on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She received her J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 2004, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an articles editor for the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts, and the recipient of Columbia’s Carrol G. Harper Prize for achievement in intellectual property studies and writing. Ms. Stadecker received a B.A. degree, cum laude, in English and Music, from Columbia University in 1996, and was then awarded a choral scholarship to attend Trinity College, Cambridge University, where she completed an M.Phil degree in Renaissance Literature.

Ms. Stadecker is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Girls' Chorus, an organization she has been affiliated with since 1983.
