Ms. Johnson is an attorney in the Employee Benefits Practice Group. Her practice includes a broad spectrum of matters relating to employee benefits, including qualified pension and profit sharing plans, mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary responsibility matters, Department of Labor audits, and ERISA litigation.

Ms. Johnson joined Morrison & Foerster LLP in 2003. Previously, she was associated with Trucker Huss, APC, and prior to that, was an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. Ms. Johnson received her J.D., cum laude , from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1999, where she was an articles editor of the Hastings Law Journal , was a member of Order of the Coif and the Thurston Society, and received the American Jurisprudence awards in Contracts and Professional Responsibility. She also served as a judicial extern for United States District Court Judge Thelton E. Henderson. Ms. Johnson received her B.A. in Economics, from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1995.

Ms. Johnson is a member of the California State Bar, and is admitted to the Northern, Southern, and Eastern District Courts of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She co-authored Domestic Partners in California: The Employment and Employee Benefits Implications of AB 205 , Employment Law Commentary, September 2004, Vol. 16, No. 9. She has also served on the membership committee of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference and the board of directors of the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, and has spoken on fiduciary duty issues to the CPA/Law Forum.
