Ms. Barrage is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on bankruptcy and distressed debt trading. She has represented debtors, creditors, official committees of creditors, and bondholders in connection with various chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Her experience includes “prepackaged” reorganizations, preference, and fraudulent conveyance litigation. In addition, Ms. Barrage represents various financial institutions in secondary market loan and debt-related asset transactions.
Ms. Barrage received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Philosophy and Spanish literature from Williams College (B.A., 1997), and received her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 2000), where she was an editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal, a member of the Barrister’s Council, and a recipient of the second place oralist award (mid-atlantic region) during her participation in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court competition. Ms. Barrage was also the recipient of the 1999 CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights. Upon graduating from Georgetown, Ms. Barrage served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond T. Lyons, Jr. in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Trenton, N.J., and Wilmington, Delaware.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Barrage was an associate in the Financial Restructuring and Litigation Groups of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. She is a member of the bars of New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia, as well as a member of the American Bar Association and American Bankruptcy Institute. Ms. Barrage is admitted to the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York, and the District Court of New Jersey.
Ms. Barrage’s pro bono representation has included representing victims of domestic violence, drafting an amicus brief on behalf of the American Civil Liberties Union on national security issues, and obtaining 501(c)(3) non-profit status for the United States Green Building Council, National Capital Region.
Besides her legal career, Ms. Barrage is an associate agent for the Williams College Alumni Fund, an arts supporter, a classical music lover, and an avid runner. She is also fluent in Spanish.
