Mr. Zebrowski is a partner in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster and is the managing partner of the San Diego office. His practice includes real estate, consumer class action, Section 17200 litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, and general commercial litigation matters. He has practiced in San Diego for over 23 years and successfully represented the San Diego Padres in a series of suits seeking to block the construction of the new downtown baseball park, Petco Park. He has also defended top law firms in legal malpractice actions.
Mr. Zebrowski is on the Board of the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and is a founding Master in the Wallace Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Mr. Zebrowski was recognized by his peers as one of the Top 13 Corporate Litigation Attorneys in the San Diego Daily Transcript - Top Attorneys 2006 list, and was ranked as one of the top Business Litigation Lawyers in Southern California by Super Lawyers in 2007 and 2008. Mr. Zebrowski has also been a presenter in numerous continuing legal education programs.
Mr. Zebrowski’s recent representative cases include:
- Represented the San Diego Padres and their development affiliate in numerous actions concerning the new ballpark and related ancillary redevelopment;
- Represented San Diego County Regional Airport Authority in dispute with fixed base operator;
- Represented San Diego Superior Court in matters challenging jury selection and facility use policies and procedures;
- Represented utility in dispute concerning the San Onofre nuclear generating station;
- Represented large energy provider in several matters arising out of the California energy crisis;
- Represented the developer in NTC redevelopment project litigation;
- Represented large land developer in acquisition dispute;
- Represented title insurer in large competitor dispute;
- Represented software and data provider in defense of various actions challenging termination of dealers and distributors;
- Represented large brewing company in action challenging termination of California distributor;
- Represented software developer in defense of various fraud and unfair business practices actions;
- Represented San Diego and Swedish partners in a dispute with another foreign partner concerning three separate commercial real estate partnerships;
- Represented long distance telephone carrier in defense of a consumer unfair business practices claim;
- Represented securities brokerage in defense of various customer claims;
- Represented two mortgage lenders in defense of nationwide consumer class actions, including unfair business practices claims;
- Represented publicly-traded investment partnership in various matters arising closure and conversion of a large mobile home park;
- Represented investor and its finance subsidiary in a venture capital partnership dispute;
- Represented software company in an asset purchase dispute;
- Represented several real estate developers in CEQA actions;
- Represented several major law firms in defense of legal malpractice claims;
- Represented lender/partner in a dispute with a partner concerning three separate industrial real estate partnerships;
- Represented minority general partner in a dispute with managing general partners concerning two separate commercial real estate partnerships; and
- Represented buyer in a specific performance action.
Mr. Zebrowski received his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1979 and his J.D. degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1983. He is admitted to practice in the State of California, the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit, and before the United States Supreme Court.
