Kenneth W. Muller represents private equity funds, venture capital funds, leveraged buyout funds, real estate funds, debt funds and emerging growth companies in all aspects of their enterprises. His practice emphasizes the formation, organization and operation of limited partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations, as well as venture capital and strategic finance, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, public and private offerings, joint ventures, cross-border transactions and other types of business transactions. He has represented some of the largest and well-known sponsors of private equity, venture capital and real estate funds and currently serves as a co-chair of the Private Equity Fund Group and the Private Equity Buyout Group.

Mr. Muller writes and lectures frequently on private equity, tax, securities and limited liability company issues, and serves on the Advisory Board of Private Equity Partnership Terms and Conditions, published by Dow Jones/The Private Equity Analyst. He has co-authored definitive guides on fund formation and operation, private placement memoranda, and general partner entity operating agreements, including chapters published in the treatise, Venture Capital & Public Offering Negotiation (Aspen Law & Business, 3d Ed.).

Mr. Muller graduated from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1992, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Writing and served as a law clerk/extern to the Honorable John P. Vukasin, United States District Court, Northern District of California. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988 where he completed a double major in English Literature and Legal Studies and four seasons as a member of California Crew.

Mr. Muller is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts, Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California. He is a member of the Business Section of the State Bar of California.
