Sonja Johnson is an associate in the Tax Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on equity compensation, trust and estate planning and administration, and incorporation and tax issues pertaining to nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Johnson received her J.D. from Stanford University in 2006, graduating with distinction. She was a recipient of the Harry A. Blackmun Scholarship and the Mortar Board Fellowship. While at Stanford, Ms. Johnson was a senior editor for the Stanford Law & Policy Review and was actively involved in the Volunteer Attorney Program.

Prior to law school, Ms. Johnson worked in market development and communications for a leading medical device company. She received her B.A., magna cum laude , in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College in 2000.

Ms. Johnson is admitted to practice in California.
