Dr. Yonker is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Her practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of United States and international patent applications in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Her practice also includes strategic patent counseling and freedom of operation evaluations.

Dr. Yonker holds a B.S. in Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities, where she graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Yonker conducted undergraduate research regarding the mapping of quantitative trait loci in porcine, as well as the conservation of the molecular response of plants in the process of disease resistance.

Dr. Yonker holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. In her doctoral research, Dr. Yonker studied the molecular and genetic basis of sex determination and dosage compensation in Caenorhabditis elegans .

Dr. Yonker received her J.D. degree from the Harvard Law School, where she graduated cum laude.

Dr. Yonker is admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
