Michael J. Hagan is a partner in the Corporate group in the New York office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. His practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, corporate transactions, securities offerings and project finance. Mr. Hagan advises U.S., European, Latin American and Asian companies on their investment activities in the U.S., including stock and asset acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Hagan represents domestic and foreign issuers and advises on public and private capital formation involving offerings of debt and equity securities. He also represents major private and multilateral financial institutions in project financing transactions in emerging markets. His clients come from a wide variety of industries, including commercial and investment banking, manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, information technology and telecommunications.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Hagan practiced at the law firm of Coudert Brothers, where he worked in their New York, London and Hong Kong offices. He established Coudert’s Vietnam office in 1994, one of the first U.S. law firm outposts there.

Mr. Hagan is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Society of International Law and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Hagan received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 and his B.A., with honors, from Providence College in 1972. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
