Jason Satterfield is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office. He joined the firm’s State and Local Tax Group from the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he litigated cases before the United States Tax Court and advised the IRS on various tax and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Satterfield clerked for the Honorable Ernest M. Robles of the US Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California, and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Satterfield graduated from the University of Southern California Law School, where was the managing editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal.

Mr. Satterfield specializes in state and local tax controversies at the audit, administrative, and judicial level. His practice focuses on sales and use taxes, property taxes, franchise and income taxes, gross receipts taxes, insurance taxes, and telecommunication taxes, among others.
