Richard S. Kinyon associated with Morrison & Foerster in 1965 and was a partner from 1971 through 2004. He specializes in taxation, community property, estate planning, probate, and trust law. He has been certified as a Specialist in Taxation Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization since 1973.

Mr. Kinyon was Chairman of the Committee on Tax Legislation & Regulations: Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates, of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association, from 1979 to 1988; Chairman of the Subcommittee on State Inheritance and Gift Taxes of the Estate Planning Committee of the Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of California from 1979 to 1982; and Chairman of the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section of the San Francisco Bar Association during 2001. Mr. Kinyon is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2005-2007) as a leader in the field of Trusts & Estates law.
