Tessa Schwartz counsels companies on intellectual property strategy and negotiates complex intellectual property and commercial agreements, ranging from key patent licensing and technology procurement agreements to complicated development, joint ventures, and distribution deals.
Ms. Schwartz is also Co-Chair of the firm's Cleantech practice. She focuses on the Cleantech sector and sustainability issues and works with industry leaders in the solar energy, carbon, and energy efficiency and intelligence industries.
Ms. Schwartz represents a wide array of public and private companies, from start-ups to large established institutional clients. She has represented clients in a broad range of sectors, including renewable energy, wireless, software, hardware, consumer electronics, semiconductor equipment, consumer product, medical and health care, hospitality and entertainment, Internet, financial services, and others. Representative clients include AREVA Solar, Inc., Carbonetworks, Climate Earth, Intel, Mozilla, and Tesla Motors.
While earning her J.D., Ms. Schwartz was elected to the Order of the Coif.
