Mr. Alepin is a Technology Advisor to Morrison & Foerster. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1950, Mr. Alepin studied economics at McGill University. Mr. Alepin has been associated with Morrison & Foerster as a consultant since 1985 and in the capacity of Technology Advisor since 1991.

Mr. Alepin has more than 23 years of experience in computers, the last ten as a consultant to the computer industry. Mr. Alepin’s principal area of concentration has been software and software development. His career has included extensive work in virtually all aspects of the computer business. Over the past few years, he has been involved in the evolution of intellectual property law, both nationally and internationally, as it affects the computer industry. Most recently, he has been the chief expert in a major international arbitration pertaining to operating system software.

Mr. Alepin is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE. He practices from the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices.
