Representative Matters
- Represented Bank of America in a $650 million fraud case brought by the Liquidators of BCCI. The Liquidators claimed that the Bank had aided and abetted the management of BCCI in connection with an international money-laundering conspiracy between BCCI and one of its largest banking clients. After several years of pre-trial proceedings and discovery, the matter was successfully settled through mediation.
- Represented U.S. subsidiary of Rabobank in a putative nationwide class action challenging equipment leasing programs for vendors, manufacturers and banks; plaintiffs alleged that defendant charged its lessees more for insurance it “force-placed" on the leased equipment than it was permitted to charge pursuant to its form lease agreements.
- Represented a large insurance company in a multi-party, multi-site environmental insurance coverage matter. Six months before trial, Morrison & Foerster was asked to step in as lead counsel in this matter, which had been pending for twelve years. Mr. Tebbe helped lead a team of Morrison & Foerster lawyers who completed trial preparations and then successfully settled the matter a month before trial.
