Daniel Muino is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Muino was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Mr. Muino has significant experience in patent litigation, representing manufacturers of biomedical devices, computer networking equipment, nano-scale measuring devices, medical claims adjudication software, guitar amplifiers, and other diverse technologies.

Mr. Muino recently co-authored an article examining the U.S. Supreme Court’s patent jurisprudence from 2005 to 2007: Rachel Krevans & Daniel P. Muino, Restoring the Balance: The Supreme Court Joins the Patent Reform Movement, 9 Sedona Conference Journal 15 (Fall 2008).

Mr. Muino received his law degree from the University of Chicago in 2000 where he received the Thomas R. Mulroy Prize for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy. He was also on the Hinton Moot Court Board. He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Harvard University in 1995.

Mr. Muino is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of California, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California and the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Federal Circuits.
