Ms. Mendelson is the head of firm’s Financial Services practice group. Her bank regulatory practice involves advising U.S. and foreign banks in a variety of complex regulatory matters, including the establishment, acquisition, and sale of U.S. banking and non-banking firms and representation of domestic and foreign banks before federal and state bank regulators. Ms. Mendelson has particular expertise in federal and state law and regulations relating to the operations instrumental in forming bank subsidiaries for foreign banks and non-bank financial services companies.

Ms. Mendelson represents a number of sovereign entities with respect to their U.S. investment activities. She is also engaged in a derivatives practice for bank and non-bank clients, including corporate end-users. This includes the review and negotiation of standard, industry-wide documentation, as well as the development of custom documentation for particular clients and transactions.
