Sharyn Funamura is a Professional Development Manager for Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Sacramento offices. As a member of the firm’s Professional Development Group, she provides strategic direction for the firm in the training and development of the firm’s attorneys; creates, implements, and assesses firmwide programs and initiatives, including training, mentoring, and orientations; and advises attorneys on issues relating to professional development. She also acts as a liaison with firm management for such matters.

From 1997–2007, Ms. Funamura was an associate and of counsel in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group, resident in the Palo Alto office. In this capacity, Ms. Funamura represented clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including litigation, counseling, and transactional matters.

Ms. Funamura received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She was an Articles Editor for the Hastings Women’s Law Journal.
