Mr. Thatcher is a partner in the Corporate Finance Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Denver, Colorado office.
Mr. Thatcher’s practice focuses on a broad range of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of equity and debt, secured and unsecured bank financings, general corporate representation, technology transactions, and real estate transactions, including real estate financing. Mr. Thatcher has also been involved in a number of asset-backed securitization transactions, both public and private, involving various classes of assets. Mr. Thatcher’s clients include a number of startup companies as well as established public companies. From November 1999 to February 2000, Mr. Thatcher practiced in the firm’s Tokyo office and regularly counsels Japanese companies with respect to various business transactions in the United States and United States companies with respect to business transactions in Japan.
Mr. Thatcher received his B.A. degree in History from Williams College in 1988 and his law degree with honors from The University of Denver College of Law in 1995. Mr. Thatcher was the Business Editor of the Denver University Law Review and is a member of the Order of St. Ives. He also received a M.B.A. in Finance with honors from the University of Denver in 1992 and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Mr. Thatcher is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado and is a member of the Colorado and American bar associations.
