Marjorie S. Elkin is Of Counsel in Morrison & Foerster’s Tax Department, resident in the firm’s New York office. Her practice focuses on the taxation of corporations, partnerships and individuals. Her areas of expertise include transactional work for corporate mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, and for joint ventures, as well as tax planning in connection with inbound and outbound investments.

Ms. Elkin received her J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 1975 and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University Law School in 1982. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, in 1972 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. After graduating from law school, she joined Dewey, Ballantine, and in 1981 she joined Zimet, Haines, Friedman & Kaplan, later becoming a partner of that firm. Ms. Elkin joined Morrison & Foerster LLP as Of Counsel in 1998.
