Robert M. Mattson is a partner engaged in a general corporate finance and securities practice. He is the past Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate group and currently is Co-Chair of the Public Companies and Securities Group. He counsels both public and private companies on corporate finance, securities, corporate governance, technology licensing, business restructuring, and regulatory compliance issues. Mr. Mattson regularly advises companies on disclosure and compliance issues under both the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

Mr. Mattson has been involved in over 100 public offerings of common stock, preferred stock, and debt. He has an active mergers and acquisition practice involving both public and private companies. His securities practice also has involved issuer tender offers, representation of bidders and targets in hostile takeovers, and corporate restructurings.

Mr. Mattson joined Morrison & Foerster in 1975 and currently practices in the firm’s San Francisco and Palo Alto offices.
