Ms. Vargo is a member of the Investment Management Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on the representation of investment companies and investment advisers. Investment company clients include both open-end and closed-end funds, multi-class funds, and master-feeder funds. In addition to ongoing SEC regulatory and registration activities, Ms. Vargo handles complex acquisition and reorganization transactions for fund companies. She has experience in matters arising under the Securities Act of 1933, the Investment Company Act of 1940, and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

Ms. Vargo received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Moravian College, and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, where she was an Assistant Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. She joined the Washington, D.C. office of Morrison & Foerster in 1999.

Ms. Vargo is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and its Section of Business Law.
