John J. McCarthy, Jr. has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, including financing, development, sales and acquisitions, leasing, sale-leaseback transactions, commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions, loan restructurings and partnership matters.

He has represented major banks in connection with financing of high-profile construction projects, as well as numerous syndicated credit facilities, including credit facilities for various real estate-related investment funds. He also has experience in the representation of various investment banks in connection with numerous multi-state loans and the establishment of conduit loan programs, including the preparation of standardized loan documentation for all aspects of such programs.

  • Represented General Electric Credit Corporation in connection with the establishment of a syndicated lending program.

  • Represented The Bank of New York as the agent for syndicates of banks in connection with the construction financing for Four Times Square, Five Times Square, Time Square Towers and River Place I in New York and Represented Bank of America, N.A., as agent for a syndicate of banks in connection with the construction financing for One Bryant Park in New York.

  • Represented JP Morgan Chase Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and Fleet National Bank in connection with numerous syndicated credit facilities, including credit facilities for various REITS and real estate-related investment funds.
