Brian Neil Hoffman is a senior associate in the Denver office and a member of the securities litigation, enforcement, and white-collar defense group. Mr. Hoffman’s practice focuses on representing companies, financial industry participants, and individuals in government and self-regulatory organization investigations and proceedings; defending shareholder class action and derivative lawsuits; and conducting corporate internal investigations. He also has substantial commercial litigation experience. He tried more than fifteen cases for the Denver City Attorney's office, including eight jury trials.
Mr. Hoffman received his B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. He attended the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1996-97, with an emphasis in international relations, political science, and economics. He received his J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 2001. Mr. Hoffman is admitted to the Colorado bar and to various federal district and appellate courts.
In 2008, Mr. Hoffman received the Burton Award for Legal Achievement, which honors excellence in legal writing, for co-authoring an article on securities enforcement. Mr. Hoffman serves on the steering committee for the Young Advocates Network of the Colorado Lawyers Committee and has served on the Board of Directors of The Young Fund of The Children’s Hospital Foundation.
