William D. Sherman specializes in corporate and corporate securities practice. He currently serves as a co-chair for the Public Companies Group. He has acted as counsel for both underwriters and companies in connection with over 200 public offerings. His work involves regular contact with the staffs of the Division of Corporation Finance, Division of Market Regulation and the Office of the General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is experienced in the qualification of stock offerings with the various state securities commissions and has broad experience in the offering review procedures of the National Association of Securities Dealers.

Mr. Sherman has been a member of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee and the State Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law.

Mr. Sherman has been a lecturer in the Haas Graduate School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley for over thirty years and was recently honored as one of the inaugural recipients of the Richard H. Holton Teaching Fellowship award. He regularly lectures on numerous panels designed for lawyers and business people interested in practical solutions to the business, legal and accounting problems of both mature and developing companies.
