Mr. Noonen is an intellectual property partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office whose practice focuses on patent litigation. Mr. Noonen is licensed to practice and has practiced before a number of U.S. District courts and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

By way of example, Mr. Noonen has litigated patent cases on an assortment of technologies (including telecommunications, medical devices, interactive programming guides, semiconductors, picture-in-picture televisions, software, computer storage devices, GPS navigation, and musical instruments) in a number of district courts (including the Central District of California, the Northern District of California, the District of Delaware, the District of Colorado, the Northern District of Texas, the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Wisconsin, the Northern District of Ohio, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit).

Before joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, Mr. Noonen was an associate with Graham & James LLP, and he was previously associated with the intellectual property boutique firm of Spensley, Horn, Jubas & Lubitz.

Mr. Noonen earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University in 1989 and his J.D. from the University of Denver School of Law in 1993. He is a member of the California State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
