Paul Forrest Coyne joined the Palo Alto Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster LLP in 2002. He practices general commercial litigation, with an emphasis on intellectual property issues. His recent experience includes matters of trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, and patent infringement, in the fields of high availability software, volume rendering, remote data synchronization, flash memory, plasma display driver circuitry, and nanoparticulate chemotherapeutic agents.

Mr. Coyne graduated from Reed College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1997, and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 2002. While at Hastings, he served as a senior executive editor for the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Coyne worked as a network administrator and systems integrator, specializing in the deployment of Internet and kiosk-based information systems. Mr. Coyne is admitted to practice in California and before the Federal Circuit.
