Deborah S. Gladstein is Of Counsel in the Northern Virginia office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Her technical expertise is in the field of networks, Internet applications, robotics, image retrieval, computer related technologies, including hardware and software architectures, storage devices, applications software, and systems, telecommunications, including optical communications and cellular telephony, semiconductors, including devices, fabrication equipment, and testing equipment, and consumer electronics, including optical storage media, televisions, audio devices, and monitors.

She represents numerous high-tech clients and is broadly experienced in prosecuting both foreign and domestic patent applications. She also has experience preparing validity and infringement opinions and counsels clients in intellectual property matters.

Prior to receiving her J.D., Ms. Gladstein worked for Sensormatic Electronics as a co op engineer, where she designed and implemented testing programs for Sensormatic’s commercially successful Article Surveillance System.

Ms. Gladstein is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law, The American Intellectual Property Law Association, and Women in Technology. Ms. Gladstein is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a patent attorney.

She received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University in 1991 and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1996.
