Mika Mayer is a partner in the Medical Device group and co-founder of the Venture Intellectual Property (VIP) Group. She has worked extensively in performing both venture side, and investor and company side due diligences. Ms. Mayer has performed due diligences on potential investments, which range in size from small seed investments to large acquisitions, and which span the medical device, drug delivery, and pharmaceuticals fields. Ms. Mayer has significant experience in prosecuting patent applications for medical device and drug delivery clients and in providing strategic advice on patent portfolio management. Ms. Mayer also provides technical and legal support to Morrison & Foerster’s litigators on life science litigation matters.

Ms. Mayer received her J.D. magna cum laude from Boston University with a concentration in intellectual property law, and her B.S. in chemical engineering magna cum laude from the University of Arizona.
