Chris Coulter advises users and suppliers of technology and technology-enabled services on commercial projects.

He works on a wide range of technology transactions including the creation and licensing of intellectual property rights in technology products and digital content, and the exploitation and merchandising of those rights across multiple platforms; content licensing, online data services, and electronic publishing; and systems development. 

Other significant aspects of Mr. Coulter's practice are advising on outsourcing and procurement, services agreements, and the IP/IT aspects of M&A transactions and joint ventures. Mr. Coulter also advises on privacy and data security, issues which often play a significant role in the transactions in which he is involved.

DFJ Esprit Portfolio Sale.
Advised technology venture fund, DFJ Esprit and the other selling shareholders, on the sale of portfolio company Perfiliate Limited, trading as Buy.at to AOL. Buy.at, with offices in the UK and U.S., is a leading independent affiliate network that provides a platform for performance-based e-commerce marketing programs to advertisers and publishers. (2008)
RR Donnelley Outsourcing Agreement.
Advised RR Donnelley, the world's premier full-service provider of print and related services, including document-based business process outsourcing, in connection with the negotiation of its print and mail outsourcing contract with Scottish Power. In previous years our lawyers have also advised RR Donnelley in relation to print and mail outsourcing for Barclays and ING. (2008)
