Helping Handbooks
Providing information to those in need at the time of a crisis has become a tradition at Morrison & Foerster. After natural disasters like Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Katrina and the Southern California Wildfires, as well as the tragic events of September 11th, we realized that many people affected by these disasters would soon face the challenge of getting access to the information and assistance intended for them. We joined forces, sometimes with local bar associations, and put together Helping Handbooks which provide information on where to turn for immediate aid, insurance assistance, mental health resources, and help with other issues specific to the disaster. Dealing with legal and financial affairs is never easy but especially when one is experiencing grief and personal loss following a disaster. Producing these Helping Handbooks is a natural way for us to help those in need.
