David Chang is a registered foreign lawyer in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong Office. His practice includes advising clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions, together with intellectual property licensing, technical services and other operational technology matters. Mr. Chang’s clients include multinational corporations, emerging growth companies, global private equity and venture capital investors and Chinese state-owned enterprises in the healthcare, TMT, cleantech, consumer, and financial services industries.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Chang was an associate at a leading boutique law firm in Silicon Valley, providing legal advice to technology startups and innovative entrepreneurs, where he represented over 100 emerging growth internet and technology companies in both commercial and corporate transactions ranging from the drafting of intellectual property licensing, technology services, and platform agreements to initial formation, venture capital financings, exit arrangements and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Chang obtained his J.D. from New York University School of Law and B.A. from Brown University. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
