David Chang is a foreign registered lawyer in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong Office. His practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions (inbound and outbound), joint ventures, private equity, venture capital and debt financings and corporate restructurings. Mr. Chang’s clients include global private equity and venture capital investors, emerging growth companies, multinational corporations and Chinese state-owned enterprises in the healthcare, TMT, cleantech, consumer, and financial services industries.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Chang was an associate at the premier boutique law firm in Silicon Valley, providing legal advice to technology startups and innovative entrepreneurs, where he represented over 100 emerging growth internet and technology companies in transactions ranging from initial formation to securities regulation compliance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Chang obtained his J.D. from New York University School of Law and B.A. from Brown University. Mr. Chang is admitted to the State Bar of California and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
