Description:
The seminar targets both new and experienced government contractors/grantees who want to learn how to protect their intellectual
property in light of statutes and regulations that grant the government and others certain rights.
The program will address:
- Various types of federal government R&D funding agreements.
- The rights that the government and others receive in IP that has been developed with government funds under these laws and
regulations.
- Very specific requirements for marking notice of inventions, notice of private funded IP, assertion of title, and declarations
in patent applications.
- Areas that are mandatory versus those that can be negotiated.
- Strategies for using allocation of work scope and configuration management to limit the effects of the mandatory provisions.
