The latest authoritative figures from New Energy Finance show that venture capital and private equity investment is substantial, totaling $4.4 billion in the third quarter of 2008, although this was a 24% decrease from the previous quarter. The majority of Cleantech investments from venture capital and private equity in the third quarter were in solar.
