Description:
In these difficult economic times, all business leaders are looking closely at expenses and business processes to be sure
their companies are operating as efficiently as possible. But for companies whose businesses rest on intellectual property
assets, there may be other ways of improving cashflow.
In this breakfast seminar, experienced members of Morrison & Foerster's patent, commercial and corporate teams will go back
to basics on the topic of strategic IP counselling. During the session we will walk through the steps companies should be
taking to assess their IP assets and make sure that their IP portfolios are working for them.
We will discuss:
- Building patent portfolios based on well-protected technology
- Recognising where the gaps are (and planning to plug those gaps)
- In-licensing, cross-licensing or pooling patents
- Prioritising assets that align with business objectives
- Licensing, selling or even abandoning technology that isn’t core to business
- Regional approaches to raising finance
Morrison & Foerster (UK) LLP (Authorisation Number 3538/MOFO) certifies that this activity has been approved for CPD credit

This invitation is transferable and open to colleagues. There is no charge to attend this seminar.
