The presentation targets new and experienced government contractors/grantees who want to learn how to protect their IP in
light of statutes and regulations that grant the government and others certain rights.

- the various types of federal government R&D funding agreements
- the rights the government and others receive in IP developed with government funds under the laws and regulations
- the very specific requirements for marking, notice of inventions, notice of private funded IP, assertion of title, and declarations
in patent applications
- areas that are mandatory versus those that can be negotiated
