  • the various types of federal government R&D funding agreements
  • the rights the government and others receive in IP developed with government funds under the laws and regulations
  • the very specific requirements for marking, notice of inventions, notice of private funded IP, assertion of title, and declarations in patent applications
  • areas that are mandatory versus those that can be negotiated
  • strategies for using allocation of work scope and configuration
