Description:
William D. Sherman, a partner in Morrison & Foerster's Palo Alto office, will be speaking at the WestLegalWorks' 29th Annual
Institute on Proxy Statements and Critical Corporate Disclosures. In its 29th year, this event is the most established conference
addressing proxy and year-end disclosure issues.
Mr. Sherman a member of the firm's Corporate Group specializes in corporate and corporate securities practice. Bill will bring
his practical experience to the panel on the SEC's new Executive Compensation Rules and lessons from Year 1 and tips for Year
2 taking place at 4 pm.
Bill currently serves as a co-chair for the Morrison Foerster Public Companies Group. He has acted as counsel for both underwriters
and companies in connection with over 200 public offerings. His work involves regular contact with the staffs of the Division
of Corporation Finance, Division of Market Regulation and the Office of the General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange
Commission. He is experienced in the qualification of stock offerings with the various state securities commissions and has
broad experience in the offering review procedures of the National Association of Securities Dealers.
