Harris Gao is an associate in the firm's Shanghai office and handles the firm's patent practice in China. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and patent litigation, primarily in the high-tech areas. He is also experienced in general commercial litigation, especially in multi-jurisdiction and cross-board litigation and in proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC). Mr. Gao is also involved in corporate transaction work, primarily in IP licensing and evaluating IP assets.
Mr. Gao practiced intellectual property law with international law firms in New York City and California.
Mr. Gao is experienced with a variety of technologies, including computer hardware, computer software, semiconductor, wireless networks, Internet and e-commerce, Cleantech, medical devices, chemical and pharmaceutical technologies, especially in touch screen display, wireless communication and software architecture. Before law school, Mr. Gao worked as a software engineer for a global financial institution.
Mr. Gao is admitted to practice in New York, and is qualified to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
