Tien-yo Chao's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, private equity and other corporate transactions and regulatory compliance issues, both in Hong Kong and in the Greater China region. He has practiced in Hong Kong since 1983.

Mr. Chao has extensive, in-depth knowledge of the capital markets and corporate community in Hong Kong and the Greater China region. His varied practice benefits from over 22 years' experience in Hong Kong and Mainland China in domestic and international securities offerings, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, fund formations, private equity investments, and a diverse range of corporate transactions, regulatory compliance and other corporate activities.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in 2003, Mr. Chao was senior partner of a specialized corporate practice he co-founded in 1994.
