Jin Ling is an associate based in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong office. Jin specializes in corporate and securities matters and mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Jin has broad experience in corporate transactions, in particular, global offerings by PRC companies and red chip companies and was involved in a number of listings by major PRC state-owned enterprises such as China Telecom, China Unicom, China Aluminum and Dalian Port. Jin has also advised on many foreign investment and M&A transactions, including HSBC’s subscription of new shares of Ping An Insurance, and the take over of Enric Energy Equipment Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong listed company, by a Shenzhen listed company, China International Marine Containers (group) Ltd.

Jin was a participant of the Chinese Young Lawyers Training Scheme sponsored by the UK government and the PRC government from 1999 to 2000 studying English law at the University of London. She has an LLB (1988) and a Master of Jurisprudence (1991) from the Beijing University. She is admitted to practice in the PRC (1993).

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Jin worked for a leading English firm for four years.

Jin is a native speaker of Mandarin and is fluent in English.
