Nigel Stamp is a partner in Morrison & Foerster's Hong Kong office. He specializes in providing advice on information technology, outsourcing, e-business, communications and digital media law and practice.
Mr. Stamp has advised some of the world's leading financial institutions, technology suppliers and telecommunications companies on major projects, including the leading telecommunications company, some of the leading banks and a leading film company in Hong Kong. Mr. Stamp provides advice on all types of technology contracts, B2B and B2C e-business ventures on the Internet and digital media projects such as digital interactive television.
Mr. Stamp has particular expertise in respect of cross-border outsourcing in Asia and has advised clients in respect of a range of projects from traditional IT outsourcing arrangements, through call centre contracts, to complex contract manufacturing relationships.
In addition, Mr Stamp has considerable experience providing specialist intellectual property and technology law support and due diligence for private equity transactions and international capital market offerings in China, Asia and the UK.
Mr. Stamp has been resident in Hong Kong since 1995, having previously practiced in London. He graduated in law from the University of Essex in England in 1983 and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1993. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Mr. Stamp spent 10 years in the software industry, the last 5 years of which were in senior positions at a leading Japanese technology supplier and a leading Japanese financial institution in London.
Prior to his arrival at Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Stamp was a partner and Head of the Communications, Media and Technology practices at Clifford Chance and Bird & Bird in Hong Kong.
