Shan Liu is an associate in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Ms. Liu’s practice includes a broad range of international business transactions and foreign direct investment including mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Ms. Liu received a LL.B from Xiangtan University in 1991, a LL.M from Peking University in 1994, a LL.M. from the University of Washington in 1996, and a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, she worked in the Hong Kong, Sweden, and Guangzhou offices of several international law firms from 1996 to 2007. In 2007, she co-founded JSA Guangzhou Office (JSA) in China, where she advised European and American companies with respect to foreign direct investment in China.

Ms. Liu is a native speaker of Mandarin and is fluent in English and Cantonese. She has passed the New York State Bar examination in 2005.
