William Brophy is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Morrison & Foerster. His practice covers corporate, M&A and securities related matters. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Brophy worked in a Hong Kong-based law firm, where his practice focused on M&A, private equity investments, debt and equity fund raising and investment fund formation. He has previously worked with law firms in Dublin and Brussels, practicing in the areas of commercial law and commercial litigation, competition law, merger control and market liberalization.

Mr. Brophy graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor of Laws in 1998. He obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in European Competition Law from Kings College London in 2001, and Practicing and Specialist Certificates in Corporate Finance from the Hong Kong Securities Institute in 2004.

Mr. Brophy is admitted to practice in Hong Kong and Ireland.
