Paul has been with the firm since 2000 and specializes in corporate and international securities law in the U.S., Hong Kong and China, with a particular focus on representing companies and investment banks in Asia for public, private and Rule144A/Regulation S securities offerings and compliance with ongoing corporate governance and listing requirements. Mr. Boltz also has extensive experience with venture capital transactions and private equity fund formation and investments, including advising clients on forming onshore private equity funds in China. He has been involved in some of the most notable transactions in China’s technology sector, particularly with respect to Internet, wireless and software companies. Recent transactions include representing Hurray! in its Nasdaq IPO, Linktone's Nasdaq IPO, NetEase's convertible debt offering, China Putian Group's restructuring of its joint ventures with Nokia, and Cathay Financial's US$1.1 billion of equity offerings. Mr. Boltz has been the lead in global securities offerings totaling in excess of US$7 billion, and is a frequent public speaker on Nasdaq IPOs and corporate governance issues.
