Bradley Theobald is Of Counsel in the Corporate Group of the London office of Morrison & Foerster. He maintains a general corporate practice with a particular focus on advising biotechnology companies in matters relating to corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Mr. Theobald’s corporate finance practice includes advising on private equity and venture capital, initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, and other public and private placings of equity and debt.

Mr Theobalds’ recent transactions include:-

advising the shareholders of KuDOS, a privately-owned UK biotechnology company, in relation to the $120 million acquisition of KuDOS by Astrazeneca;

representing Renovo Group plc on its initial public offer on the Official List raising £57.5 million and simultaneously advising on the issuance of up to £15 million of Convertible Loan Notes to existing investors;

advising PharmaKodex Ltd, a specialty pharmaceuticals company developing improved proprietary formulations of established therapeutics, on a completion of a Series A equity financing, raising £7.1 million; and

advising Weatherly International plc on a £17 million reverse takeover of Ongopolo Mining and Processing Company. Ongopolo is a Namibian public company which owns and operates three copper mines and a smelter.

Mr. Theobald is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in 2004, he worked in the Corporate & Securities Department at Arnold & Porter in London. He began his career as a trainee solicitor with the London office of Linklaters & Paines before qualifying in September of 1998 into the Corporate Department of the London office, where he worked on a number of high profile transactions before joining Arnold & Porter in the summer of 2000. After obtaining a BA (Hons) at the University of Leicester in 1995, Mr. Theobald completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
