James Ryan is an associate in the Technology Transactions Group of the London office of Morrison & Foerster.

Mr. Ryan maintains a broad practice, advising clients in both the pharmaceutical and biotech sector and the technology and telecommunications sector on general commercial and transactional matters.

Mr. Ryan began his legal career as a trainee solicitor with the London office of Clifford Chance LLP in 2002 and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in August 2004. He joined Morrison & Foerster in the autumn of 2004. After obtaining a BSc (Hons) in 1997, and a PhD in Molecular Biology in 2000, both from the University of St. Andrews, Mr. Ryan completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
