Masayuki Negishi is a non-practicing barrister and an associate in the Technology Transactions and Global Sourcing Groups in the London office of Morrison & Foerster.

Since joining the firm in 2005, Mr Negishi has gained a range of experience in the firm’s practice areas through his involvement in a variety of projects, including outsourcing transactions, public procurement, privacy and data protection, as well as general commercial and IP litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked on various non-contentious matters relating to regulatory issues in the telecommunication and pharmaceuticals industry, as well as a number of substantial litigations in the High Court. As a former Chairman of the London-based Free Representation Unit, he also has an extensive experience of advising and representing clients appearing before various Tribunals on a pro bono basis.

Mr. Negishi holds a BEng (Hons) in Material Science and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from University of London, as well as a MSc in Environmental Diagnostics from Cranfield University. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2002, and qualified as a solicitor in June 2006.

Mr. Negishi is bilingual in Japanese and English.
