Jonathan Lea is an associate in the London office of Morrison & Foerster and is a member of the Technology Transactions Group and the Global Sourcing Group.

Mr. Lea advises on a wide range of non-contentious technology matters including outsourcing transactions, commercial technology transactions, software licensing and development.

Mr. Lea has drafted and negotiated various outsourcing agreements, IT services agreements, software development agreements, software licenses and maintenance and support agreements. He has represented a range of customer and supplier organizations, including banks, insurance and aviation companies and technology providers. Mr. Lea was part of the Morrison & Foerster team that advised Skandia UK, a leading independent provider of long-term savings solutions on a $200 million, multiservice, five-year contract with HCL Technologies. He has also advised Lloyds TSB Bank plc on a range of IT and procurement transactions across its business.

In the past, Mr. Lea has represented a UK insurance provider on the first if its IT and business process outsourcing arrangements, which involved advising on the best practice approach to its outsourcing, and the legal aspects of potential supplier responses to the client's RFP, and drafting and negotiating the master services agreement and first statement of work. He has also advised some of the world's largest technology providers in relation to managed services contracts and their supply and distribution arrangements.

Mr. Lea is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. He completed his law degree (LL.B. Honors) at University College London in 2000 and his Legal Practice Course (Honors) at The College of Law, London, in 2001.
