Sonia Girgis is an associate in the London office of Morrison & Foerster. She provides corporate tax advice on a wide range of issues to public and private companies both nationally and internationally.

Ms. Girgis has advised on the tax aspects of M&A transactions, the restructuring of corporate groups, the recoupment and tax planning of losses, and employee share schemes. She has also advised in relation to cross border financing and investment transactions. Her transactional experience involves companies across a broad range of industries including life sciences, pharmaceutical, industrial and consumer products. Ms. Girgis has also advised in connection with tax audits and litigation.

Ms. Girgis joined Morrison & Foerster in 2007. Prior to this time she worked in the London office of Simmons & Simmons and the Sydney offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She graduated in 2002 from the University of Technology, Sydney, with both LL.B with first class honours and B.Bus (Mgt) and in the same year received her Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice. She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and is admitted to practice in New South Wales.
