Diana Saso is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s London office. She has extensive experience across a broad range of contentious matters, and has particular expertise in pre-action dispute resolution advice and counselling as well as representing clients in various forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Ms. Saso is dual-qualified, in California and England & Wales, and has experience representing clients in both U.S. state and federal courts as well as in the English High Court. She also advises clients in international and domestic mediations, arbitrations and expert determinations.

Ms. Saso’s recent experience includes:

  • Acting for a Japanese energy company in a London-seated arbitration under the LCIA Rules;
  • Acting for a UK closed-book pension and life insurance fund in a London-based Expert Determination involving an outsourcing dispute;
  • Advising a European technology company in the travel industry in relation to pre-action dispute resolution with a major airline, including advice on arbitration under the ICC Rules.

Ms. Saso received her B.A. degree in History, with high honors and distinction in the major, from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1993. She spent her junior year studying at the University of Exeter in Exeter, England. She received her J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1997. She attended Georgetown University Law Center’s international law program in Heidelberg, Germany during the summer of 1995. In her last semester at Hastings, Ms. Saso externed for United States District Court Judge Claudia L. Wilken in the Northern District of California.

Ms. Saso is a member of the State Bar of California, and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in England & Wales in November 2004. She joined the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster in 1997, and has worked in the London office since 2001.
